Audax Group-Backed EIS Acquires Midpoint Bearing

Genz & Associates, Inc. (“Genz”) is pleased to announce EIS Legacy, LLC (“EIS”), a portfolio company of Audax Group, has acquired Midpoint Bearing. Since they opened in 1985, Midpoint Bearing an authorized distribution partner of world class manufacturers such as Dichtomatik, Garlock, Koyo, NTN, SKF, Schaeffler, Nachi, and many more.

Midpoint has maintained one of the largest specialized inventories of ball and roller bearings in the United States with a focus on the electric motor and pump repair, wind generation equipment repair and steel rolling mill industries. This acquisition broadens EIS’s product offering and technical expertise in addition to increasing their presence in high-growth industries such as alternative energy and wind.

Audax Group and EIS retained Genz as their buy-side M&A advisor to assist with EIS’s growth strategy through acquisitions. Genz identified Midpoint Bearing through our comprehensive search process, TargetSelect. The acquisition of Midpoint Bearing marks the first acquisition Genz has closed with EIS and the seventh with Audax.
